123The National Organ for the Protection and Promotion of Childhood was established by the Prime Minister, by Law No. 15/12 of 28 Ramadan 1436 corresponding to July 15, 2015, relating to child protection. It is responsible for protecting and promoting children’s rights, as well as enjoying moral personality and financial independence.


In order to run and manage this body in most of the powers entrusted to it, and to coordinate the efforts of all those involved in the field of childhood, the law stipulated the appointment of a national commissioner to head it.


Or every natural or legal person, as stipulated by law, to put at the disposal of the authority all human and material means to enable it to perform its tasks in the best way (Article 11 of the Child Protection Law).
