The National organ for Child Protection, his role and duties:
The National organ for Child Protection is appointed, by presidential decree, from among the experienced and qualified national figures known for their interest in children's affairs (Article 12 of the Child Protection Law).


The National delegate shall ensure the protection of the rights of the child in accordance with the international and regional instruments and charters ratified by Algeria and the established national legislation. In the exercise of his duties, the delegate performs two main duties:
Social protection of children at the national level,
Promotion of childhood and the dissemination and promotion of a culture of child rights in Algeria.
